Morocco organises the 2nd edition of GITEX AFRICA
The Association des Utilisateurs des Systèmes d’Information au Maroc (AUSIM) actively participated in the second edition of GITEX AFRICA through an exhibition space that provided a meeting place for its members, the digital ecosystem in Morocco, its partners and national and international visitors. AUSIM also contributed to enriching the scientific content of the event by running several workshops and round tables and producing programmes with national and international digital players.

AUSIM participation in panels
Speech by AUSIM Chairman: Hicham CHIGUER
AUSIM President Hicham CHIGUER took part in a panel discussion entitled ‘Towards a User-Centred Administration: Redefining the Interaction between Users and Public Services.’ This discussion highlighted the importance of refocusing public services on user needs, using digital technologies to improve interaction and user experience. The panel demonstrated the need for greater collaboration between different stakeholders to create an administrative environment that is truly user-centred, while harnessing the potential of technological innovations to meet current and future challenges.

As part of a partnership between AUSIM and APEBI, Mohammed Essaidi, Secretary General of AUSIM, took part in a panel entitled ‘Solidarity: Inclusion Session’. This panel focused on the crucial theme of digital inclusion, promoting solidarity and exploring ways of ensuring that everyone can benefit from technological advances.

A discussion on cybersecurity and regulation in Morocco took place during sessions organised by APEBI and AUSIM. Emphasis was placed on the importance of understanding the various laws and international standards in order to ensure effective governance of cybersecurity and build resilience to cyber threats for public and private entities.

Invitation to African CIOs
AUSIM had the privilege of inviting several presidents of African CIO clubs to join the association in order to strengthen ties with Morocco and other African nations. During GITEX, a major technology event in Africa, AUSIM established a platform for collaboration and exchange, facilitating constructive dialogue and the creation of solid relationships. The main objective is to promote mutually beneficial cooperation for the development of information and communication technologies in Africa.
